The Daily Mail and General Trust has spent £17m on the acquisition of further websites, including three job sites and a car dealer site.
The job sites are productionbase.co.uk (TV and film industries recruitment) and two retail recruitment sites (inretail.co.uk and retailcareers.co.uk).
No doubt this won't be the end of spending by the major newspaper groups as they look to online advertising to help with their falling print advertising revenues.
